* Students seeking an AS degree in science, are encouraged to take a sampling of courses in order to identify their preferred area of specialization, including anatomy and physiology, biology, botany, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. In completing this degree, students must take 16 credits in math and/or science in addition to regular degree requirements and enroll in at least one 3‐credit computer programming language or one 3‐credit course covering spreadsheets, word processing, and database. Academic advisors in Student Services as well as faculty can assist students in selecting courses that will be accepted by the four‐year college or university where they plan to transfer. The terms of the Michigan Transfer Agreement have been embedded in all AA and AS programs.
