ZOO 257 - Fish Biology

Prerequisite: College level biology course or 1 year HS biology grade “C” or better (2.0 out of a 4.0 scale)
Fish anatomy and morphology, physiology, taxonomy, behavior, life history, and ecology with emphasis on freshwater species. Identification of live and preserved fish specimens. Laboratory and field work will focus on fishes in the Great Lakes region. Provide hands‐on experience for applications such as aquaculture and fisheries field surveys.
