• Apply vocabulary of high-frequency words, collocations, and idiomatic expressions that are commonly used in the Spanish-speaking world.
• Demonstrate reading comprehension at the intermediate level with a variety of authentic genres, such as academic discourse, newspaper and magazine articles, fiction, poetry, and/or essays.
• Compose a variety of texts including short academic essays, narratives, and formal letters.
