SPN 102 - Elementary Spanish II Offered WI Lecture- 4 4 credit hrs/4 contact hrs Prerequisite: SPN 101 - Elementary Spanish I with “C” or better (2.0 out of a 4.0 scale) or equivalency Continuation of SPN 101 .
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Initiate and maintain conversations in Spanish.
- Control present, past, and future tenses well enough to relate anecdotes or concepts.
- Use relevant vocabulary as necessary for written and oral communication.
- Interpret messages and general ideas expressed by native Spanish speakers.
- Write paragraph-length texts containing coherent descriptions of people, places, and everyday activities.
- Identify the main ideas presented in simply written Spanish texts and magazine articles.
- Explain cultural information about the Spanish-speaking world as well as the distinctive assets and contributions of Spanish-speaking communities in the United States.
- Exhibit ethical & professional behavior in attendance, conduct, assignment completion, collaboration, work with source material, and constructive peer feedback.
