CIS 135 - Programming II Offered WI Lecture- 2 Lab- 2 3 credit hrs/4 contact hrs Prerequisite: CIS 130 - Programming I with “C” or better (2.0 out of a 4.0 scale) Programming II teaches students to solve real-world business problems using the C# language. Students will learn to design, develop, code, test, and document C# Windows applications to meet today’s business needs. Data structures, classes, and inheritance, database connectivity and data validation will be covered. Students will gain an understanding of the C# syntax and semantics as well as object oriented concepts as they relate to application programming.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Communicate computer technology concepts, methods, and evidence clearly in written and spoken reports.
- Exhibit ethcial/professional behavior in attendance, class conduct, assignment copmletion, teamwork and costructive peer feedback.
- Define and use object-oriented programming elements in programming.
- Manage windows in the Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
- Demonstrate an understanding of the use of pseudo code, user-defined functions to expand code reusability, and set the properties of an object.
- Demonstrate an ability to write, test, and debug programs.
- Design programs using the .NET database tools.
- Create and access arrays, use ADO.NET, sort and search text files and data bases.
