MRI 240 - MRI Image Analysis Offered WI Lecture- 3 Lab- 0 Clinical/Studio- 0 3 credit hrs/3 contact hrs This course provides the MRI student with the critical assessment skills necessary to recognize and identify pathology and artifacts. Students will explore the necessary parameter adjustments for differential diagnosis. Emphasis will be placed on quality control procedures, image post-processing, and image archiving.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Evaluate and critique MRI images while following ACR guidelines.
- Differentiate between normal and abnormal anatomy.
- Identify image artifacts and discuss corrective measures.
- Describe advancements in the MRI profession and analyze images.
- Describe ways in which MRA imaging can be used to diagnose pathological conditions.
