ROB 250 - Real-Time Robotic Systems Offered FL Lecture- 2 Lab- 2 3 credit hrs/4 contact hrs This course provides an overview of robot system components, work-cell system concepts, geometry, automation sensors, path control, programming techniques, safety, hardware, and software. Robot operations will be covered along with the tasks required to set up and maintain robotic handling tool applications. Students will test, run, and refine programs and a robotic production setup.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Discuss the CERT Cart Safety.
- Explain various user frames that use a robotic arm.
- Describe different inputs and outputs and how to configure them.
- Create various program instructions and macro commands.
- Explain how to set up a robot for production using teaching pendant.
- Describe how to manipulate files: copy and delete programs, backup all or specific types of files to a specific device.
- Load programs from the backup device and make an image backup and restore.
- Simulate the operation of the robot via ROBOGUIDE simulation software with proficiency.
- Complete the assigned tasks by manipulating a robot arm successfully with proficiency.
