BUS 201 - Business Ethics Offered WI Lecture- 3 3 credit hrs/3 contact hrs This course explores ethical business practices and the impact on both internal and external stakeholders. Introduces students to business ethics views and theories, corporate social responsibility, and the importance of developing ethical decision-making skills.
Student Learning Outcomes: Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental business ethics vocabulary.
Identify the ethical theories (teleological, deontological, and aretaic) and the principles of moral reasoning associated with them.
Recognize and analyze ethical dilemmas in business case studies.
Describe the best practices that management may take to improve an organization’s ethical culture.
Discuss the consequences of unethical business practices.
Communicate business ethics, concepts, methods, and evidence in a professional manner.
Exhibit ethical/professional behavior in and out of the classroom in attendance, conduct, assignment completion, teamwork, and constructive peer feedback.
