This course covers the fundamentals of creating and editing digital video. Topics include cinematography, editing, compression, file format, soundtracks, sound effects, and publishing.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Identify the types of stories the film medium is most effective in telling.
Articulate the evolution of film medium and how it relates to technology.
Illustrate basic concepts of copyright and fair use.

Create a short film that includes audio, digital video, animation and photography.

Manipulate the video and sound elements of the film, including adding special effects using industry-standard software.
Deliver a pitch of the film created using industry-relevant terminology.
