DART 100 - Introduction to Computer Animation Offered as needed Lecture- 2 Lab- 2 3 credit hrs/4 contact hrs This introductory course provides students with a theoretical foundation alongside practical experience working in computer-aided animation. Using industry-standard 3D animation software, students will use animation techniques to articulate and communicate a variety of topics. Techniques covered in the course include modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, and rendering.
Student Learning Outcomes:

Identify trends, developments, and concepts in the history of animation.

Demonstrate an understanding of basic concepts of copyright and fair use.

Create an applied 3D animation project including storyboards, character designs, object design, scenes and environments, texturing, lighting, animation, and rendering.
