ALH 155 - Healthcare Workplace Safety

Prerequisite: Current BLS certification
Promotes understanding, recognition, and application of the knowledge of safety practices in healthcare environment. Topics such as chain of infection, standard precautions, fall and electrocution hazards, personal protective equipment, emergency action, blood borne pathogens, fire prevention and protection, body mechanics, and ergonomics are presented in this course. Upon successful completion of this course a student will receive an OSHA 10-hour General Industry credential.
