COM 202 - Introduction to Mass Communication

Exploration of the evolution of media and how media develop and frame communication. Media studies include books, newspapers, radio, music, television, magazines, the Internet, and social media. Additionally, students will examine the relationship between media, culture, gender, and communication. Formerly SPE 202.

  • Identify mass media’s influence in the development of cultural, gender, and communication norms.
