Introduction to the touch system on the personal computer with emphasis on keyboarding technique, business correspondence, tabulation, proofreading, and manuscripts; emphasis on speed and accuracy.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Demonstrate the ability to key straight-copy alphanumeric material using correct touch techniques.
Demonstrate the ability to key numeric copy using correct touch techniques on a 10-key numeric keypad.
Compose coherent content using the keyboard at the word, sentence, and paragraph levels.
Communicate business concepts, methods, and evidence clearly in written and spoken reports.
Exhibit ethical/professional behavior in attendance, class conduct, assignment completion, teamwork, and constructive peer feedback.
