CRJ 213 - Traffic Law Offered WI Lecture- 3 3 credit hrs/3 contact hrs Prerequisite: Academy Screening Motor Vehicle Code, as well as methods currently used in traffic control and enforcement. Students will receive Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) training, and qualifying students will receive a certificate in SFST.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Read, understand, and apply the Michigan Motor Vehicle Code, including laws of jurisdiction.
- Apply key words and phrases used in motor vehicle law.
- Observe and monitor, and control traffic flow on roadways.
- Warn, cite, and arrest violators of motor vehicle law.
- Perform Standardized Field Sobriety Testing in accordance with current law and professional standards.
