CRJ 211 - Juvenile Delinquency Offered FL Lecture- 3 3 credit hrs/3 contact hrs Studies the causation of juvenile delinquency. Topics include federal and state law, the juvenile justice system, police and community intervention, and gang activity.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Assess and analyze the elements that make up the juvenile justice system.
- Demonstrate an understanding of criminological theories used to explain crime.
- Apply the facts and significant outcomes of landmark juvenile court cases to current situations.
- Describe the purpose and functions of the juvenile court.
