CRJ 206 - Criminal Law Offered WI Lecture- 4 4 credit hrs/4 contact hrs Basic course in criminal law as it applies to local and state laws. The elements of a crime will be learned.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Read, interpret, and apply Michigan laws relating to crimes against persons, property, public order, contraband, and regulatory crimes.
- Apply law and procedures relating to admissions and confessions, suspect identification, arrest, search and seizure, and evidence.
- Request, obtain, and execute search warrants.
- Execute warrantless searches according to statutory and case law.
- Apply laws relating to juvenile delinquents.
- Perform court-related duties in criminal and civil cases.
