Fundamentals of criminal investigation, including the identification, collection, and preservation of evidence, interviews, and preparation for legal proceedings.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Search, fingerprint, and care for prisoners.
Perform interviews and interrogations in accordance with relevant laws and procedures.
Perform preliminary on-scene investigation and documentation.
Identify, preserve, collect, and process evidence.
Perform preliminary death investigation.
Perform special investigations, such as child abuse and neglect, sexual assault, dangerous drugs, and cases involving unexpected death.
