The course will examine the meaning and function of culture, the impact and meaning of discrimination, minorities, attitude formation, and professional responsiveness.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Identify the meanings and functions of culture, attitude formation, and the related social and psychological implications of discrimination.
Describe various cultures represented in Michigan institutions.
Identify various professional responses to human behavior, including diplomacy, negotiation, and proper use of authority in identifying and reducing conflict.
