CIT 115 - Server Administration Offered WI Lecture- 2 Lab- 2 3 credit hrs/4 contact hrs Prerequisite: CIT 100 - Introduction to Operating Systems with “C” or better (2.0 out of a 4.0 scale) Will familiarize the student with network server administrative tools. Topics will include, but not be limited to, Active Directory design and security, user account management, file and print services, group policies, and server management and monitoring. Students will perform real‐world server tasks from an enterprise system administrator perspective.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate an understanding of network server administrative tools.
- Configure and manage user accounts, file print services, and group policies.
- Manage and monitor server performance.
- Create and configure web-site virtual servers and directories.
- Demonstrate real-world server tasks from an enterprise system administrator perspective.
- Communicate computer concepts, methods, and evidence clearly in written and spoken documents.
