BIS 160 - Computer Applications: Microsoft Office Offered FL, WI, SM Lecture- 2 Lab- 2 3 credit hrs/4 contact hrs This course introduces features and functionalities of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Students receive hands-on experience creating and editing documents in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and professionalism. This course prepares students for the Microsoft Office Specialist certifications. Course design is best in a Windows environment. Formerly BIS 160 Desktop Applications. Student Learning Outcomes: Recognize fundamental terminology related to the word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
Demonstrate proper techniques to create and edit word processing documents using text, tables, and graphics suitable for coursework, professional purposes, and personal use.
