BIO 122 - General Biology I

Science majors course in which students will explore cellular biology, anatomy, and ecology. Laboratory work will expose students to both light and fluorescent microscopy, basic biochemistry, and animal physiology through dissections.

Explain the ways cells are studied and utilized in biological models.
Illustrate the composition of a mammalian organism.
Demonstrate how biotic and abiotic factors combine to create ecosystems.
Develop written and oral communication of scientific topics.
