ART 132 - 3D Design

Prerequisite: ART 131 - 2D Design  A grade of C or better, or higher standard, is required.
This course is an introduction to basic principles of three-dimensional design, focusing upon formal elements, principles of composition, and design thinking. 

Student Learning Outcomes:
  • Identify formal elements and principles of composition in three-dimensional design.  

  • Differentiate among three-dimensional media types. 

  • Analyze meaning-creation and viewer perception in three-dimensional art. 

  • Manipulate formal elements and compositional principles of three-dimensional design to create new works.  

  • Translate three-dimensional design into presentable renderings ready to pitch.
