This course provides information about the pre-hospital management of medical conditions at the basic life support level. Emphasis is placed on pathophysiology, recognition of signs and symptoms of Medical and Trauma patients, review of basic life support management techniques, anatomy and physiology, and patient assessment. Prerequisite: Current State of Michigan EMR License or students who recently completed the West Shore EMR course and are in the process of obtaining their license.
