This is an example of how a student could use the electives of the Associate of Arts degree to take courses toward a degree in computer science. The degree awarded would be an Associate of Arts.
Students must earn a minimum of 60 credit hours and have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher in order to earn a degree.

*Students seeking an AS degree in computer science technology are encouraged to take a sampling of courses in order to identify their preferred area of specialization, including networking, programming, software development, and database management. Academic advisors in Student Services as well as faculty can assist students in selecting courses that will be accepted by the four‐year college or university where they plan to transfer.
The terms of the Michigan Transfer Agreement have been embedded in all AA and AS programs.
