This is an example of how a student can use the electives of the Associate of Arts degree to take courses of interest in Arts and Humanities. The degree awarded would be an Associate of Arts.

Students must earn a minimum of 60 credit hours and have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher in order to earn a degree.

* In completing a degree in the humanities, students are encouraged to take a sampling of courses in order to identify their preferred area of specialization. Recommended courses include art survey or history, applied or studio course in the arts, foreign language (levels 1 and 2), literature, western civilization or other history, and philosophy. Students should meet with an academic advisor to determine which courses will transfer to the college or university of their choice. The terms of the Michigan Transfer Agreement have been embedded in all AA and AS programs.
