Neurodiagnostic (EEG) Technology is offered in collaboration with other Michigan community colleges through the Michigan Workforce Training and Education Collaborative (MWTEC). Courses in semesters 1 & 2 are taken at WSCC and must be completed with a ‘C’ or better. Courses indicated as MWTEC Courses in semesters 3-5 contain both didactic coursework, which is completed online, and clinical coursework, which is completed at a partner healthcare facility local to the student. Students must complete a secondary application process to begin the MWTEC Course sequence.

EEG students will study and explore electrical activity in the brain and nervous system by applying electrodes to cranial surfaces and will learn how to record an electroencephalogram. EEG’s aid in the diagnosis and treatment of headaches, seizures, strokes, and comas. This program prepares students to sit for the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) certification exam.
