Michigan Transfer Pathway - Social Work

Led by the Michigan Center for Student Success, community college and four-year college and university faculty in Michigan have collaborated to build multi-institutional associate to bachelor’s degree transfer pathways in some of the largest majors in Michigan. These transfer pathways build on the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA), which makes is easier for students to transfer their general education courses earned at West Shore Community College to four-year institutions in Michigan. View WSCC’s MTA requirements .

Social Work Pathway Courses

Faculty identified courses that will transfer between community colleges and universities in Michigan. The following courses at West Shore are guaranteed to transfer to Social Work programs of participating institutions.

West Shore Degree Requirements

These are West Shore’s Associate of Arts degree requirements and may not be accepted for transfer by universities participating in the agreement.

Transfer Institution Degree Requirements

Participating transfer institutions have identified remaining degree requirements that a student can take at a community college (if available) that will transfer to a Social Work program. Visit https://www.mitransfer.org/ to view a list of participating institutions and for more information.
