Emergency Telecommunicator Certificate

This program is designed to train individuals to become an emergency dispatcher. Students completing this certificate are trained and credentialed to work as 911 operators/dispatchers, with additional employment opportunities in areas such as ambulance, trucking, OnStar, 211/411 services, Poison Control, taxi services, or TDD. Students must have a high school diploma or GED, pass a criminal background check, have a valid operator license, and test into ENG 111 - English Composition I .

FYS 101 - First‐Year Seminar 2 credit hrs (Required for all first-time college students)
ENG 098 - Writing Essentials 3 credit hrs (Required if ENG 111 is required for the program)
MTH 021 - Intermediate Algebra Support 2 credit hrs OR MTH 023 - Introduction to Statistics Support 2 credit hrs OR MTH 025 - Quantitative Reasoning Support 2 credit hrs
