Criminal Justice Certificate

Students who already hold at least an Associate’s degree upon entering the second year Academy courses may be eligible for a Certificate in Law Enforcement. A grade of “C” (2.0) in each of the second year Criminal Justice courses is required for the Certificate.

Students must meet all state standards for pre‐service police training to beginning the Certificate courses, and they must meet additional requirements prior to being licensed as a police offer in Michigan.

All students must hold an Associate’s degree or higher upon completion of the academy courses to be eligible for police licensure.
