Computer science uses the computer as a tool to solve problems. More than just simple calculators, modern computers accomplish tasks too large or complex for human capacity. Whether you are writing a fun new app or automating a monotonous task, the skills learned while studying computer science are empowering. With an associate’s degree you may be an invaluable employee able to eliminate tedious data processing. A bachelor’s degree may allow you to build and maintain a computer network, design cutting edge software or construct an innovative online utility as a web developer. With a graduate degree you may push the forefront of artificial intelligence or transform the use of data in fields such as economics or bioinformatics.
