This course introduces students to the study of human cultures through a comparative and cross-cultural lens. In particular, the course explores the concept of culture, the methods anthropologists use to study it, and the diversity of human social institutions and relations.

Identify the major subfields of anthropology and key research methods used by anthropologists.
