OIS 150 - Fundamentals of Keyboarding Offered FL, WI Lecture- 1 Lab- 2 2 credit hrs/3 contact hrs For non‐Office Information System students with no previous keyboarding experience who wish to use the personal computer for personal, academic, or professional written work.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the ability to key straight-copy alphanumeric material using correct touch techniques.
- Demonstrate the ability to key numeric copy using correct touch techniques on a 10-key numeric keypad.
- Compose coherent content using the keyboard at the word, sentence, and paragraph levels.
- Communicate business concepts, methods, and evidence clearly in written and spoken reports.
- Exhibit ethical/professional behavior in attendance, class conduct, assignment completion, teamwork, and constructive peer feedback.
