A beginning piano/keyboarding musicianship course designed to provide a student with introductory skills including scales, chords, simple compositions and transpositions.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Identify musical symbols utilized most frequently
Sight-read both simple rhythms and melodies
Play most major and minor scales and arpeggios
Identify and write intervals and root position chords
Understand the structure of Western Tonality and the Major/Minor system
Be willing (and relatively comfortable) to use keyboard skills in public performance.
