Corequisites: EMS 201 - Paramedic II , EMS 211 - Paramedic Pharmacology II , EMS 241 - Paramedic Clinical II , EMS 250 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support , EMS 251 - Advanced Pediatric Life Support , EMS 252 - Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support
More advanced arrhythmia interpretation, continuation of EMS 220 – Paramedic Cardiology I. Management of cardiac arrest including, medications, cardioversion, transcutaneous pacing, and defibrillation will be a major emphasis. Pacemakers, 12- lead ECG interpretation and other advanced procedures, and arrhythmias will be presented. Application of theory, judgment, and decision-making strategies are evaluated.
