Beyond this Curriculum Guide


The purpose of this curriculum guide is to introduce you to WSCC’s academic programs and outline your responsibilities to complete a degree or certificate; however, it is only the beginning of what you will need to be a successful student here at WSCC! Here are some additional resources:

  • Academic Advising: Our advisors will help you pick out the best classes based on your educational goals and can help you understand how your courses and program will transfer. Call 231‐843‐5510 for an appointment.
  • Catalog: For a comprehensive look at WSCC’s resources, policies, and procedures, view the Catalog at http://www.westshore.edu/p_students/advising_registration/catalog.html.
  • Disability Access Services: This office provides reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities to ensure that a great education is a possibility for every student! To set up accommodations, contact dlneilengblade@westshore.edu.
  • Library: The Library is your one‐stop shop for resources and research assistance both on‐campus and online. For help using library resources, contact library@westshore.edu.
  • Math Center: Walk‐in math assistance is available on the second level of the Schoenherr Center; check the WSCC website for updated hours. Any math‐related question from any class is welcome! For more information, contact pdrelles@westshore.edu.
  • Testing Center: If you need to take a test or quiz for one of your classes, chances are you’ll take it in the Testing Center. To learn more about Testing Center policies, contact dlneilengblade@westshore.edu.
  • Tutoring Center: Tutoring is free for all students in any class and can help build critical skills like time management and study strategies. To request a tutor, contact gmkowalski@westshore.edu.
  • Writing Center: Peer coaches will assist you in any part of the writing process, from brainstorming a topic to revising a final draft. For updated hours, contact writingcenter@westshore.edu.
